Originally the film was going to use sound effects over black and establish the prison location, but after working on the picture edit, I realized that we needed to go and shoot the jail scene as originally planned. Again the crew was small and we only had 4 hours to shoot what we needed so we had to hustle again, but we had a great DP who moves fast.  Once completed we continued on with the picture editing and it took quite some time to get this picture locked as my editor and I were only able to meet on weekend at night once a week. Oh the challenges of being an indie filmmaker.

PICK UP SHOTS - 2nd RE-SHOOT OF INTERROGATION SCENES

After reviewing the dailies from the first shoot, I realized we needed to come back and re-shoot a few scenes for missed coverage and this time we had a very small crew of about 5 versus about 15 crew on the first shoot date. We had to match lighting from the first shoot and after we starting shooting and were flying through the set-ups, we ended up reshooting all the coverage again and actually got 4 times as much coverage done with this smaller crew than the larger crew. Had I known we were going to be able to get all this coverage done, the DP and I would have re-lit the set much better. But lessons learn for sure. Thanks to all the actors and crew who did come back for more fun and filming. It's all part of the filmmaking process and to benefit the final outcome for the film.

. Day one our total head count was close to 25+ and crew was made up of around 12-15. We had spent the entire day prior building the Interrogation set and had to use the first part of the shoot day to light the set. So we got a late start. The film was made with the support of area filmmakers volunteering and donating their time and expertise. It would not have been possible without all of them and a big "Thanks" goes out to everyone who was part of the film.

THE SHOOT - FIRST SHOOT DAY

Now we can finally begin the Post Production Sound phase, which involves the editing of all the dialogue, Sound Effects, Foley, BG's, ADR, and more. Have to get it all laid out and prepared for the post sound mix. Still looking for that colorist that will fit into my budget, which of course is none, so the struggle continues. But it's all part of filmmaking and being creative.

COLOR CORRECTION - COLOR SPACE FINISHING - BURBANK, CA.

Peter did an amazing job in helping with the Color Correction. We spent the day going through the film and now it's time to combine the final color corrected picture with the final sound mix and start submitting to a few festivals. Please visit Peter's
